Standing proud in the main street of Waratah, beautiful historical St James Church Gallery will greet you as you enter this town and the entrance to Tasmania’s Tarkine. Currently operating as a Gallery & Function centre, the external building is heritage-listed, and the zoning is “Village”. The deconsecrated gothic-style wooden church has beautiful stained glass windows, baltic pine walls and ceilings, church pews (available to purchase), an area with Tasmanian made products and artworks. The current owners hold weddings and funerals in the building. Other functions include fairs, plays and photography workshops.
